The Jordan School

The true meaning of life is to plant trees under whose shade you do not expect to sit.

Jordan School classes
Fine Arts
  • The Fine Arts program at the Jordan School has been under the capable direction of Don Colasanti since 1984. The Jordan School believes strongly in the value of the arts in education. Students rotate through the study of art, drama, and music during each six-week period.

  • Students learn to read music at an early age, a skill which is closely linked to success in mathematics. An appreciation for all types of music and the study of composers is integral to the program. Children learn to develop their singing voices and are given an opportunity to join the school choir in first through sixth grades. In third grade, students begin to perfect their skills on the recorder.

  • The dramatic arts give students an opportunity to develop performance skills. Parents look forward to grade-level plays produced and directed by Mr. “C.” Each year the fifth grade class performs in a dinner theater for the community.
