The Jordan School helps students learn and understand that they are connected with the community. The school is dedicated to teaching it's students the value of community service while developing leadership qualities. Upper grades are active in the Student Council and also assist with tutoring programs for the younger students.

The Jordan School participates in food drives, clothing drives, and fundraisers for groups such as the American Heart Association and St. Jude's Children's Hospital. The school choir performs in area nursing homes and at various community functions throughout the year. Several classes have adopted grandparents at local nursing homes, where they provide birthday parties and friendly visits. Nursing home residents are invited on campus to various school functions throughout the year.

The Jordan School also offers the school facilities for use during a summer Fine Arts camp and for a fall soccer league. Upper classes have incorporated community service requirements into the curriculum. Through this and other programs, the school consistently demonstrates its desire to be connected with and supportive of the community.
