The Jordan School program is designed for students of average and above average abilities who are interested in pursuing an enriched curriculum of study. The school is accredited by the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools (SAES), an accrediting body recognized by the Texas Education Association through the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission.
The academic achievement of Jordan School students has been demonstrated in competitions such as Model UN and UIL meets, where our students consistently perform at top level. Academic achievement tests also display the level of instruction provided. For example, on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills, a nationally-normed achievement test, the 6th grade class of 2001 had average scores of 96% in reading, 93% in math, 99% in science, and 97% in composition.
The Jordan School is committed to bringing every possible discipline into the curriculum at the earliest age-appropriate developmental stage, including foreign language, drama, music, and art. The school has also attracted and maintained an outstanding group of quality teachers.
- The Jordan School is dedicated to continuous growth in programming and is currently upgrading the computer lab to offer wireless service, which will provide computer access for all classrooms. Additional plans for the next two years include expansion and further development of the Science Lab.
